About

The most important thing to me, by far in a way, is my family. I love my husband and my children. Going to the mountains, and walking along the trails that line the Blue Ridge Parkway is an activity that my family and I, try to accomplish as often as possible.

Laurel, Clifton, and Myself

I enjoy a variety of activities. Traveling is important to me because I get to see new places and experience a multitude of adventures that I would otherwise be unknowledgeable about. The most recent trip that I took was in the summer of 2009 to NYC.

I enjoy looking up at the stars and wondering about the vastness of the universe. I like figuring out how things work, and completing a difficult task.

I like to teach what I know, and share my experiences with others. Chocolate ice cream, and junk food, in moderation is always a yummy treat on a hard day.

The items that I am not in favor of include getting behind with my work, because being ahead allows my stress levels to decline. I also do not appreciate being cold – I would rather be warm, or even hot, for the simple reason that you can go swimming if it’s hot. I detest individuals who think that they can get through life without trying their best. Why be mediocre when your aptitude says that you can do soo much more?

In addition, you should see what your best is so that when it comes to the hard times, you can overcome the hardships. Life is a struggle sometimes, and we have to know how to work at our best to get through those difficult periods.

My appearance…I have shaggy wispy chestnut colored hair and dark brown eyes. I wear glasses, and have a rather large pointed nose. I have a rounded girth, like a pear. My height is in the medium range. I am 5’7” so I am not tall, or short. My skin is the creamy color of an apricot, or a peach. I have feet that seem to large for me, at times, but for the most part they are a perfect fit.

How I Act…Silly and fun when there is no work to be done. I am hardworking, but forgetful. I am honest, but I often say things that later I regret. I usually listen before I speak, and try to reason what I am going to say based on others attitudes and feelings. I continue to try to be perfect, but I am nowhere close. I admit that I am sometimes a geek. I always want to know more about anything that I learn. I am shy when you first meet me, or if I don’t know you. I wear my feelings on the outside when you are my friend, and I can be easily hurt. I forget that my friends do the same.

What You Should Know About Me: I expect the best out of others. I (think) that I know what each one of us is capable of. With the right prodding, I think that we are all geniuses. We have to let go of our fears so that we can embrace the truth in life.

Oh, and I have a new puppy and a kitten.

Here is my Puppy Holly

Portrait Poem or “I am” poem:

I am determined and patient
I wonder where my children’s lives will lead them
I hear the laughter of angels
I see youngsters spirit light up in wonder
I want to place the world in the hands of the innocent
I am determined and patient

Laurel as "Princess Laurel"

I pretend that I can fly
I feel ethereal and sylphlike
I touch the stars in the heavens
I worry that I will wake …it was all a dream
I cry when those I love leave this world for another
I am determined and patient

Clifton as Yoda
